Summer

Short/Summer positions are available in select cities across China. These programs are set up by each individual schools and varies in length, location, benefits, and duties. Summer programs are more flexible than longer term positions, offering opportunities for individuals of various backgrounds.

Experienced Teachers:

In experienced summer teaching camps, teachers will engage with students of high school levels and above. This is generally an intensive English course meant to focus on conversational English, with some written elements. Class schedules are usually full throughout the day, and there are usually evening activities several nights a week.

Students in Undergraduate Study:

Students who are currently enrolled as a college student also have the opportunity to teach in China. Applicants in this category are given the opportunity to work alongside with experienced teachers to gain valuable international experience. Independent opportunities are also available to teach younger students between kindergarten through junior high levels. Teachers can expect to incorporate teaching lessons with active games to improve oral and listening skills of their Chinese students. Class schedules are usually full throughout the day, and there are usually evening activities several nights a week.

Basic Applicant Requirements:

  • 4 Year Degree or Proof of Good Standing in an Undergraduate Program
  • Tutoring or Teaching Experience
  • References from Professional or Academic Sources
  • Flexibility in Working in a Foreign Environment
  • Native English Speakers

Stipend and Benefits:

  • Monthly Stipend (Between 3,000 RMB – 4,000 RMB per month based on education and experience)
  • Housing (Comfortable, on or near campus, private, and furnished apartment)
  • Arrival Greet (An English-speaking host will greet you at China’s international airport and help situate you at the school)
  • Basic Medical Care (Full access to on-campus medical clinic services)
